Barracuda Swim Team
Join the Bedell Barracudas Swim Team! This is an excellent opportunity to try out he program or just learn and improve the techniques for swimming.
2026-2027 Swim Team
The Bedell Barracudas Swim Team is a recreational yet competitive program that strives to develop strong and fast swimmers. Coaches will work on proper technique for speed while also building on each swimmer’s endurance in the water. Swimmers are encouraged to attend every scheduled practice and meet if possible. There will be two practice groups that will be assigned by coaches according to skill level.
Registration closes: November 1st
Practices Begin: November 2nd
Ages: 5-18 years (Must be a YMCA member for the whole season)
Beginners: Must be able to swim 25 yards freestyle and 25 yards backstroke. Coaches will focus mainly on the basics. They will practice on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 4:15 – 5:00 PM
Intermediate/Advanced: Coaches will focus on preparing swimmers to be competitive at swim meets. They will practice on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 5:00 – 6:30 PM, Wednesday at 4:15- 5:45PM.
Cost: $215 – Includes snorkel for every participant
